About Yumpling Long Island City

Located at 49-11 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101, Yumpling Long Island City operates as a taiwanese restaurant serving Long Island City in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 AM–8 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 713-1839. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is yumpling.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 1,097 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded taiwanese restaurants in Long Island City.

I visited Yumpling for the first time after looking for an affordable lunch spot near the station, and I can honestly say the reviews were accurate! The food was very reasonably priced and satisfying for the quality and portion size. The restaurant itself is pretty small and doesn’t have a ton of seating, but the location is super convenient since it’s close to the station. There’s also a park nearby, so it’s actually a great place to grab takeout and eat outside when the weather is nice. One thing I really liked was how quick and easy the ordering process was. If you’re short on time during a lunch break, you can order quickly and take your food to go without waiting too long. That’s definitely a big plus for busy days. Another small but appreciated detail: even though the space is compact, they still have a restroom available for customers, which is surprisingly convenient and thoughtful for a small restaurant. Overall, this is a great spot if you want something affordable, quick, and tasty near the station. I can definitely see myself coming back again!

Authentic Taiwanese food! Had to have their popcorn chicken! So juicy and crispy. Their beef noodle soup is also pretty delicious. Very generous portion of beef. Mango shaved ice is good. Probably the classic Taiwanese flavor is better. Small shop with several tables to sit down and eat. Very friendly service and quick food delivery.
